Limburg: European beacon for young top talent
Young European top talents invited in Limburg for Young European Talent 2018
The YET project was first organized last year by four honorary consuls from Belgium, Germany, France and Luxemburg.
In 2017 Limburg welcomed fifty top talents from five European countries for a three-day program with exceptional speakers such as Feike Sijbesma (CEO DSM), Jennifer Van der Leegte (Van der Leegte Group), special encounters and interesting visits to VDL-Nedcar, Brightlands, Jumping Indoor Maastricht, Sint-Servaas basilica, Bonnefantenmuseum and the townhall of Maastricht. The talents aged 18-35 have been selected on their specific talents and merits by the honorary consuls, embassies, ministries, universities and other government bodies.
Because of the success of the 2017 edition the four consuls have decided to organize YET also in 2018. A new foundation was established which works closely with the province of Limburg who is also the main sponsor.
Young European Talent will take place from Tuesday November 13 till Thursday November 15 in Limburg. The group of talents will visit the Provincial House, VDL Nedcar, Brightlands, Bonnefantenmuseum, Sint Servaas Basilica and the townhall of Maastricht.
No lack of talent with these millennials (born after 1983). Many of them have already booked remarkable results on a young age in the fields of science, business, sport, arts and public administration. With help from the embassies, ministries of the sending states and regional universities a list of potential candidates for YET 2018 is being composed. The organization is still looking for top talent (18-35 years) from France, Belgium, Germany, Luxemburg and the Netherlands.

Secondly, placing Limburg structurally on the map as an internationally orientated region which looks across the border to facilitate international top talents with an excellent network and inspirational environment, region and facilities.
Thirdly, to tie these talents to the region of Limburg by keeping them informed of recent developments in Limburg in the fields of public administration, business, science, sports and culture/ arts.
